Neurological Care is a medical practice in Central New York that specializes in memory disorders, with a particular focus on Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative diseases severely affecting an individual's capacity for recall.

Neurological Care was started by Dr. Smita Kittur, a board-certified neurologist with over 15 years of experience. She trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital and received a fellowship in behavior and cognitive neurology at Johns Hopkins and the National Institute of Aging. She has been the Director of Alzheimer's clinics at Veterans Administration Hospitals at Perrypoint, MD, Syracuse, NY, and Upstate Medical University. In addition to her considerable clinical experience, she continues to be at the cutting edge of research in understanding the mechanisms behind neurodegenerative diseases and in clinical trials of highly promising drugs halting the progress of dementia. She is a Principal Investigator on Phase III trials of two new drugs targeting dementia, both of which are based out of Neurological Care's Syracuse office.
