| About Us |
Neurological Care was started by Dr. Smita Kittur, a board-certified neurologist with over 15 years of experience. She trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital and received a fellowship in behavior and cognitive neurology at Johns Hopkins and the National Institute of Aging. She has been the Director of Alzheimer's clinics at Veterans Administration Hospitals at Perrypoint, MD, Syracuse, NY, and Upstate Medical University.

In addition to her considerable clinical experience, Dr. Kittur continues to be at the cutting edge of research in understanding the mechanisms behind neurodegenerative diseases and in clinical trials of highly promising drugs halting the progress of dementia. She is a Principal Investigator on Phase II and Phase III trials of several new drugs targeting dementia and parkinson's disease, which are based out of Neurological Care's Syracuse office.
